17 waves of a magic wand

17 steps are involved in tanning and transforming these toads skins into high quality leather. It is a unique process that has taken many years of research. The following steps are involved: taxidermy to naturalise the amphibian, treatment of the skin, tanning, drying, selection of skins, and colouring, which is done in a tannery at Millau. This is followed by the leather working which takes place at the workshop in Paris: cutting the leather, lining it with lamb or goat skin, stitching, and setting the Swarovski crystals.
